Die Analysten wurde einmal wieder wie gewohnt von Apples Verkaufsdaten überrascht. Man setzte die Maßstäbe schon beachtlich hoch und dennoch wurde in wenigen Tagen die Millionen-Marke geknackt.
Bis Samstag dem 26.6.2010 (Verkaufsstart war der 24.6) hat Apple 1,7 Millionen iPhone 4 Modelle verkauft. Damit übertrifft das iPhone 4 die Verkaufszahlen des iPhone 3 GS beim Start um ca. 700.000 Modelle. Für alle, die am Verkaufstagt leer ausgingen entschuldigt sich Apple im gleichen Atemzug per Pressemitteilung.

CUPERTINO, California—June 28, 2010—Apple® today announced that it has sold over 1.7 million of its iPhone® 4 through Saturday, June 26, just three days after its launch on June 24.
