Unterm Strich handelt es sich dabei um einen Siri-Klon, der unter iOS und Android l\u00e4uft. Laut <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2013\/04\/17\/sources-say-amazon-acquired-siri-like-evi-app-for-26m-is-a-smartphone-coming\/\">TechCrunch<\/a> ging der Kauf schon Ende 2012 \u00fcber die B\u00fchne. Weder Amazon noch die Entwickler von Evi waren bisher zu einem Statement bereit.<\/p>\n<p>Evi ist auch <a href=\"https:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/us\/app\/evi\/id463296609?mt=8&at=1000lIE4\">als App im App Store erh\u00e4ltlich<\/a>. Dort hatte sie allerdings anfangs einen schweren Stand. Apple drohte urspr\u00fcnglich damit, die App aus dem App Store zu entfernen, lie\u00df dann letztlich aber doch Gnade walten.<\/p>\n<p>Im Januar 2013 kaufte Amazon noch eine andere Firma namens Ivona, die sich ebenfalls mit Spracherkennung besch\u00e4ftigt. Ob das Unternehmen die beiden Technologien kombinieren wird, ist ungewiss. Die Beweise, dass Amazon vorher auch Evi gekauft hat sind laut TechCrunch allerdings &#8222;unwiderlegbar&#8220;: Viele Repr\u00e4sentanten des Unternehmens wurden von Amazon-Angestellten ersetzt.<\/p>\n<p>Evi ist eine App, die die Spracherkennungstechnologie von Nuance mit der True Knowledge Search Engine kombiniert und \u00e4hnlich wie Siri funktioniert. Sinn und Ziel einer Aussage werden erfasst, und Evi ist lernf\u00e4hig. Soll hei\u00dfen, die App passt sich mit der Zeit an den User an. Zus\u00e4tzlich zu der True Knowledge Engine werden Yelp-Informationen, lokale Suchen und andere APIs in die Suche eingebunden.<\/p>\n<h3>Smartphone von Amazon?<\/h3>\n<p>Mehrere Quellen, unter ihnen auch TechCrunch, werfen ob dieser Entwicklung erneut die Frage nach einem Amazon-Smartphone auf. Sicher w\u00e4re es denkbar, dass Amazon Evi in einem eigenen Smartphone einsetzen m\u00f6chte. Genauso denkbar w\u00e4re aber auch eine Adaption f\u00fcr den Amazon Kindle Fire HD. Auch hier k\u00f6nnte Evi den Usern gute Dienste leisten.
